Del Sabato...

...I woke up very early this morning...the little man had to meet his debate team...
...there's a lot of work to be done around the house, but I hate it, I can't and I won't do!

...I decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood because the weather is eeeeh, ready to rain, and before I start lighting up candles and putting on Miles Davis, I gave myself the treat of breathing some fresh air and seeing some familiar faces...

....on my way out, I thought that it really looks like autumn...although it was the cleaners and not the rain...

...I have lived here for the past 25 years...
...I have seen good changes and bad changes...met people...lost some others...but I have also built memories..
....the munchkins have played in this park...

....and here we have celebrated the Bear's 50th birthday....

...in these cafes my "teenager(s) in love" have had their first dates (somebody is going to shoot me!)...

...

...we have our friends who live around and our kids go to the same school...it's the neighbors...or the store owners...the butcher...the baker...

...people still say "good morning"....and in case of someone playing "hookie"...some eye will notice and some mouth will inform me....!!!!

...we start conversations every where, at the bus top, the supermarket line, the traffic light....

...us Greeks have too much in common...
...we share the same religion, history, pains, culture...we're all the same....

...many times we're way too loud with each other and sometimes insulting...but when our national team wins we're all brothers!!!!

...some "serious" arguments have taken place in front of a kiosk, where all the newspapers are hanging, and that's where politics and sports are being discussed...
...we all have an opinion...

...when the kiddies were little I had bought them the Sesame Street soundtrack with all the classic songs...

...this reminds me of Bobby singing "who are the people in your neighborhood"!

...here I have a neighbor who seems to have some kind of a radar, because every time I come out with my darling dog, he pops his head out to check if I have picked up whatever the poor animal has left behind!!!

...my street...

.....my neighbor 's house, who provides me with aromatic herbs..

...and my house...

...So as Carol would say...."I'm so glad we had this time together....."

Manya,
I love that you left the housework and went for a walk instead!
So amazing to see where you live and what you do and all that is around you....
dreaming of Greece!
