A mi isla....

...going back to my island is like going back to my womb....so many memories...so many things of the past that are still there...talk to me...so many mixed feelings...some good, some bad... things that I want to erase...and things that I don't want to forget...smells of my childhood...voices of the past...sadness....happiness...

...it was a holiday and we wanted to go and celebrate...it was the church near the beach...the folklore dances...the parade...the candles...the prayers....the friends that we saw and drank ouzo with....

...the colors of our flag are the blue of the sky and the white of the tide....just by looking at the sky, one can see the reason why...

...I'm so angry at myself for forgetting my camera...thank God for the Bear's cell phone that did all the work...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
...Mr. and Mrs. Yalomamounas...their dogs...their mom...their aunt...their cousin...their lovely music and delicious food...an afternoon lunch to remember.......all that delicious food...the jokes...the warmth of their souls and their home's....
...the wine...the dessert...
....yours truly, here!!!!
...I wish I had taken pictures of our lemon trees...the beach in front of our house...the wild flowers...
...now the city mice are back...I wish you all a good week...
Oh, Manya!! I so wish I could come and see it all. To breathe in the ocean air and see the blue sky would be a slice of heaven to me!!! So glad you enjoyed your time.
