****
...the whole world  is watching you...we're admiring you...we're bowing in front of you...we're praying for each one of you...

...you have proven to the rest of us that faith, courage, and hope are the only weapons to survive...

....."there's enough hot water to wash the most important parts"!!!!

....her character and I share the same urge and ambition to speak the language that we love....

Te odio "senior Subjuntivo"!

...I remember that I used to like autumn...

...my thea Maro had taught me to look at every season with a loving eye...

....she always made it so special when it rained outside...

...there's a gray sheet over Athens today...
...the sun can't decide whether it should stay behind the clouds or appear on a car top...

                                               ...tic toc, tic toc...

...real quick, I made an omelet...

....thought of baking...

...but decided against it...

...tic toc, tic toc...

...the little Man played for me my favorite tune...

...what makes my soul silent today, isn't the weather, or my lack of inspiration...

..it's the damn-Spanish-Subjunctive-stupid-tense and all it's trimmings!

...I swear that by the end of the weekend I will have conqured the beast even if I have to study upside down!

...when I feel creative...guess what I do....ah huh, I BAKE!

... tonight...lemon pound cake...

....for an autumn night, while everybody else is asleep....the house smells mmmm so good!

Toca para mi...

...it was a very sunny day...

...the Bear had  an archery competition...

...no camera only iPhone...wharia wanna do!  (as my uncle Nick would say)...

...I love going to his team's competitions...as a sport is very slow, but it gathers fun people...over the years we have made some good friends whose company is very pleasant...

...I'm proud to say that Mr. Bear has been in the National Archery team for many years ranking numero tres (por favor!)  in Greece!
...he has won many distinctions and awards...

****
...ah....no!.... it wasn't a day in Ascot...
...as I mentioned before, it was a very sunny day and no matter how I love the sun, I usually wear a "tent" on my head for protection...

... my teacher had given me too much homework over the weekend, so between brakes I was studying.....(if only my mom knew what I good student I have turned out to be!!!)

....sunny Sunday in Greece means...eating out!

...after the competition we headed to a sweet little restaurant, where food was served in the garden...

...Sunday night...

...may you all have a good week, filled with physical and mental health!

Del Sabato...

...I woke up very early this morning...the little man had to meet his debate team...
...there's a lot of work to be done around the house, but I hate it, I can't and I won't do!

...I decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood because the weather is eeeeh, ready to rain, and before I start lighting up candles and putting on Miles Davis, I gave myself the treat of breathing some fresh air and seeing some familiar faces...

....on my way out, I thought that it really looks like autumn...although it was the cleaners and not the rain...

...I have lived here for the past 25 years...
...I have seen good changes and bad changes...met people...lost some others...but I have also built memories..
....the munchkins have played in this park...

....and here we have celebrated the Bear's 50th birthday....

...in these cafes my "teenager(s) in love" have had their first dates (somebody is going to shoot me!)...

...

...we have our friends who live around and our kids go to the same school...it's the neighbors...or the store owners...the butcher...the baker...

...people still say "good morning"....and in case of someone playing "hookie"...some eye will notice and some mouth will inform me....!!!!

...we start conversations every where, at the bus top, the supermarket line, the traffic light....

...us Greeks have too much in common...
...we share the same religion, history, pains, culture...we're all the same....

...many times we're way too loud with each other and sometimes insulting...but when our national team wins we're all brothers!!!!

...some "serious" arguments have taken place in front of a kiosk, where all the newspapers are hanging, and that's where politics and sports are being discussed...
...we all have an opinion...

...when the kiddies were little I had bought them the Sesame Street soundtrack with all the classic songs...

...this reminds me of Bobby singing "who are the people in your neighborhood"!

...here I have a neighbor who seems to have some kind of a radar, because every time I come out with my darling dog, he pops his head out to check if I have picked up whatever the poor animal has left behind!!!

...my street...

.....my neighbor 's house, who provides me with aromatic herbs..

...and my house...

...So as Carol would say...."I'm so glad we had this time together....."
