La cena de la luna....

...when there's a full moon...

....there's dinner with friends...

...only candles are lit...

....good food, plenty of wine...

...jokes...

...and nature's magic...

...I was having a chat with a friend when I noticed the "neighbors" across from us...they had come out with their babies...their clothes, bottles, strollers...feeding them, putting them down for a nap, changing their diapers...not noticing the people walking by...or me, who was  staring...seeing myself in them...

....many years back, that seem like yesterday...I was one of them...
...maybe in a more wild version...I was always accompanied by my scooter, a stick and a whistle....! 

...I sometimes feel a sadness when I look at old pictures...I see the ones who are no longer sitting at the table with me...I see the innocence...I see the clean face without any history carved on it...I look at her thinking "if you only knew then..."

....the time when we were still Angels before life corrupted us...the time when we could put our baby in a box, after getting bored with it,  along with all the junk that we had collected....when we were a teacher for a day, a stewardess the next,  or even both at the same time...the time when somebody else had prepared our dinner, washed our clothes, done our bed...the time when there was a hug and a kiss for all our pains...

....it just stopped raining outside and I smell the soil...everything seems cleaner and brighter...the dirt has been washed away...the lights at the stores look brighter... slowly the pedestrians are increasing...the music is sweet....coffee smells good too...I see some friends...I'm in the mood for some apple pie....but I also want to look for a sun dress...

...I'm going for a walk, it's still early...

...as I was passing by the beach this morning....I looked down thinking that you're there...that one of them would call my name...

...

Un amigo de corazon...

...slowly the island is starting to welcome more tourists...

....the shops are becoming fuller....you count more umbrellas at the beach...the restaurant kitchens are visibly more alive...the seats at the cafe where I usually sit are not as accessible...

...in a more secluded area of the pedestrian road, my dearest, funny, sweet friend Evangelos has already opened his arms and the doors of his shop  to welcome all of us, with his funny stories...spicy comments...and beautiful things that his artistic wife has created...

...to me going there is pure heaven...one can admire their British taste in things,
with a twist of French country...

...from where I'm sitting right now...sipping my fredo...blogging...watching people go by...outside being very warm...not wanting to move from this spot...

...island life...

...there have been pleasant walks in the narrow streets of the island's capital...

...enjoying every spot...

...loving the blue....

...discovering ....

...having late dinners at my friend Rena's restaurant....

...at the house...different ages...different moods...different hours...

...meals are being planned...

...prepared....

...and served outside...under the bougainvillea...across the Aegean...

...just a sun dress and a pair of flip flops is all you need...

....simple pleasures...

...no words...just a few moments from the week that just past...

...who sent you to me and I'm so fortunate ?

...you are so wise...so sweet...so comforting....your positive words reach me and embrace me...cover me like a warm blanket...give me courage...hope...strength...

...a simple "thank you" isn't enough...

...all I can tell you is that you have reached so many...done so much good...received gratitude...admiration...love...

...love...yes, you have spread so much of your love...you only spoke of love...

...I in return can easily say that you are "family" to me...thank you...and I love you...my Rapunzel...my little witch from Tivon...
